About Zoil:: Management Team


Dr. Asamoah Boateng is the managing director of Zoil Services Limited. Prior to joining ZOIL, he worked with Imperial Oil, an affiliate company of ExxonMobil in Canada, as a Hydroprocessing Specialist providing technical support for to ExxonMobil refineries in Canada. He has previously also worked with Chevron and Foster Wheeler in various engineering capacities.

Dr Asamoah Boateng received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, and BSc and MSc degrees from New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering. 



Mr. Hart is the Operations Manager in charge of ZOIL’s Anaerobic Thermal Desorption Plant. He is an expert in thermal desorption units (TDU). His experience with TDU began in 2007 as a senior operator with Titan Projects Nigeria Limited, Bonny Oil and Gas Terminals, where he was responsible for running the TDU for the treatment of hydrocarbon waste. Between 2008 and 2014 he became the Operations Supervisor at Titan Projects Nigeria Limited.

Mr. Hart is excellent in plant troubleshooting and maintenance. He is also an expert in corrosion control and welding.



Herbert Tettey is a product of University of Maiduguri, Bono State, Nigeria with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He has taken courses in the Safety, Health and Environment.  Herbert Tettey previously worked with Africa Water Engineering Services as Maintenance Engineer Trainee in 2005, and in 2007, was appointed the Maintenance Engineer. Mr. Tettey joined Accra Brewery Ltd in 2008 as Maintenance Engineer Trainee.

He was later appointed as the Maintenance and Service Manager at Mahogany Wood & Processing Company in Accra. His last place and position of service was with Dupaul Processing & Treatment Plant as Plant & Workshop Manager. Mr. Herbert is currently serving at ZOIL as the Plant Maintenance Supervisor since 2011



Mr. Gyambrah joined ZOIL Services Limited as the HSE Manager in 2014. Previously he worked for Golden Star Resources, Bogoso Mines as an Occupational Health and Safety Officer in Process Plants, Monitoring and Mining Operations from 2007 to 2014. He has several certifications from NEBOSH, SGS-Ghana, MSA, Minerals Commission which certify him as lead auditor, spill  crisis manager, Advance Life Saver First Aid Trainer, explosives handler, etc. He has also performed ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 training.


Mr Gyambrah holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast and safety management certificate from the University of Mines and Technology.

The HSE manned by a supervisor and an officer who are responsible for enforcing HSE management system in the day-to-day operation of the oil waste management plant and monitor compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and other oil waste management standards.
